This is an important point. I am consistently surprised when colleagues say to me “my mouse isn’t working, it’s not moving properly around the screen” . When you say to them “have you tried cleaning it?”, they look amazed as though the thought that a mouse could get grimy is impossible to envisage. Then they clean it and they go “what is all this brown stuff in there” and are equally surprised when you tell them “it’s your skin”. In future I will remark “it’s your spunk” and see if they blush.
